mc-dm is a private, single-operator tool used solely to manage the Instagram professional account it is connected to. It is not offered to, sold to, or usable by any other person or business.

What this app accesses

What is stored, and for how long

Data is stored only on the operator's own computer, in a local database that is not exposed to the internet. Specifically: the text of comments that trigger an automated reply, the commenter's username and Instagram-scoped ID, the message that was sent in response, and a timestamped count of link clicks. Records are kept only as long as they are useful for operating the account and are deleted on request.

What is never done

Automated messages

When someone comments on a post with a phrase such as "link", this app may post a public reply and send that person one direct message containing the link they asked for. Instagram permits exactly one such message per comment. Replying is entirely optional; ignoring the message ends the interaction.

TikTok

The same operator uses this tool to upload their own videos to their own TikTok account. For that purpose it stores, on the operator's computer only, the TikTok access and refresh tokens issued to that account and the account's own open ID, display name, and username. It reads nothing about any other TikTok user, collects no viewer or audience data, and posts only videos the operator made and selected. Revoking access in TikTok (Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Apps) stops it immediately.

Your choices
